ASA 2012 Panel on Base Culture and Empire

Hello All,
I've been emailing with Jana Lipman at Tulane, who is interested in
doing a panel or roundtable on base culture and empire for ASA 2012.
We did discuss this at our meeting in Baltimore, but I'm not sure that
anyone has taken the lead on organizing it. If there are folks out
there who share an interest in this subject, please respond and we'll
work on networking.
In other news, the Vieques session shows signs of coming together;
Chris Capazzola sent me a list of folks working on Vieques and I have
been in touch with some of them. More on that as it develops.
We're off to a great start for ASA 2012. If there's anything that I
can do to help move the process along, please let me know.
