subject [Illinois_ARES] Illinois Statewide Tornado Drill

IEMA is sponsoring the statewide, annual tornado drill on 01 MAR
2011. This exercise begins at 1000 local time.

Coincident with the state's drill, the Illiinois ARES HF Net will be
opened at 1000 local time on 3.905 MHz. Stations are invited to check
into the net and report their location (county will suffice) to the
net control station upon check-in. The net will be open until 1200
local time which provides a two-hour opportunity for all involved to
make contact with the net.

This event is always a good time to remember to check your emergency
supplies, make sure your genset and/or batteries are up to snuff, and
to review your family plans for all types of emergency situations. If
the weather permits, feel free to fire up youor emergency power
supplies, rigs and antennas and give 'em a test during this net.
