ARES HF SATURDAY MORNING NET
On Saturday, November 6 at 10:00 am local time there will be a special
ARES HF Phone Net called from NC9IL, the State of Illinois RACES
station
on 3.905 MHz. If propagation on 80 Meters is poor that morning we will
announce a change of frequency and move to 7.230 MHz.
The purpose of the net is:
1) We want to see what state wide communications is like at that time
of
day.
2) We want to see how NC9IL's low NVIS antennas and equipment work
out.
3) To provide an opportunity for people to check-in to an ARES net who
may not be available during the normal Sunday nets.
NOTE: This net does NOT replace the normal ARES HF Phone net held the
first and third Sunday of each month.
If this net is successful it may become a regular event.
