To: <zpe...@twcmetrobiz.com>

Honorable members of the Animal Welfare Caucus and NYC Council: Your constituents and all New Yorkers with a modicum of compassion have watched the daily suffering and are well aware of the unacceptable conditions under which these unfortunate animals are forced to live and labor!!!  It is long past time to end their suffering and senseless deaths! “We “love” our horses” (and pedophiles “love” children; wife-beaters “love” their wives) among dozens of other meaningless excuses are trotted out by vested interests - the owners, handlers and spokespersons - for this antediluvian industry that brings shame and denunciations to our great city.

Sadly, we are also aware that numerous members of the NYC Council profit from their backing of the “Union” that offers no benefits to drivers, except when the word “ban” comes into play. We urge you to take immediate action and get Ryder’s Law out of the dust-bin and passed NOW!!!

BASTA!!! ENOUGH! NO MORE! THIS OBSCENITY! THIS ATROCITY! THIS SHAMEFUL HORROR SHOW AND INEXCUSABLE INJUSTICE MUST END NOW!

ANOTHER NYC CARRIAGE HORSE IS DEAD

URGENT: We are devastated and furious to share this news with you. Last night a 16 year-old
horse named Deniz took his final breaths and died in Central Park after collapsing while pulling passengers in a carriage. We rushed to the scene and spoke to horrified New Yorkers who watched Deniz struggle in agony on the ground while dying. Some were crying and hugging each other, traumatized by the heartbreaking scene. Witnesses said the carriage driver did nothing to help and showed no concern as others in the park rushed to try to help the horse. It was too late. Deniz was worked to death, like so many others.

There are NO MORE excuses left. No horse should suffer and die like this in the middle of New York City and our elected officials must answer to this.

Join us TODAY at City Hall for the Reintroduction of Ryder’s Law

📍 City Hall Steps, Manhattan

📍 Wednesday, June 10

🕛 12:00 PM

🚨RSVP FOR THE RALLY🚨

🚨The finish line is in sight. Today we need to show City Hall and the media that New Yorkers are outraged and ready to end the abuse, retire these horses from our streets, and help them begin new lives on rescue farms and sanctuaries.

We’ll be joined by supportive elected officials, horse experts, special guests, and leaders from across the animal protection movement. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Spread the word.

If possible, please arrive by 11:45 AM. City Hall security screening can take several minutes, and we want a strong crowd in place when the rally begins at noon. We will be handing out newly designed T-shirts for those who wish to wear them.

HELP US FINISH THIS FIGHT

As we move closer than ever to victory, the carriage horse owner's union is still trying to silence NYCLASS through an ongoing lawsuit. When powerful interests see real change on the horizon, they fight back. But we are not backing down. With your support, we will continue fighting for these horses, defending our advocacy, and pushing Ryder’s Law across the finish line.

DONATE HERE NOW

Whether you live in New York City or anywhere else in the world, you can help push Ryder’s Law forward.

TAKE ACTION NOW
