Ladies - I'd like to invite you all to An Evening of Movement Connections: Celebrating Bay-Area Activism, an event my husband and I are co-hosting with RESIST on October 16th.

Resist is a Boston/Somerville-based organization co-founded by Noam Chomsky which primarily funds small, grassroots activist groups.  We've been supporting Resist for for 15+ years. Please see below for details about the event, and a short-list of Bay Area grantees.

Kids are welcome to accompany their parents to the event, but unfortunately, no childcare will be provided. Please contact me if you have any other questions.  It would be wonderful if you could attend the event and/or donate. Hope to see you there!

An Evening of
Movement Connections:
Celebrating Bay-Area Activism

Thursday, October 16, 2014
6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

2nd Floor Terrace
2150 Allston Way
Berkeley, CA 94704

Hear from Resist grantees about how our struggles and movements are connected while connecting with activists from the community over food, drinks, and music.

Please RSVP by October 9 by emailing Ravi Khanna
or by calling 617-623-5110

In the 47 years since we had our first meeting that founded RESIST, I've been gratified to watch us grant nearly 6.5 million dollars to more than 5,500 dynamic grassroots activist groups in the United States - all of them working for the kind of change I know we both believe in.
