Directed by Nitin Sawhney and Roger Hill, Flying Paper is the uplifting documentary
of youth in the Gaza Strip on a quest to break the Guinness World Record for
flying the most kites at once time. Nitin is a friend of Mora's and mine
from our Boston days, now based in New York. Roger Hill, who is based in S.F., will be
at the screening introducing the film and talking about working with
Palestinian youth in the making of the film.
This special screening is also a small fundraiser to support outreach and
advocacy work around the film in coming months. The film will have its official
Bay Area Premiere at the United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF)
around Oct 17-27 (http://www.unaff.org/2013/).
