Good morning everyone,
We have an urgent update to share with you all concerning Maxine Waters, Representative of the 35th District in CA and member of the Judiciary Committee.
Representative Waters has been a pro-immigrant legislator for many years now but recently she has been targeted by anti-immigrant groups regarding the E-Verify piece of legislation moving its way in Congress today! This bill most likely will be coming up for a vote in the Judiciary Committee this afternoon.
We are asking folks to call her office and request that she oppose H.R. 2164 “Legal Workforce Act” and that she stand with the immigrant community in California.
