Synod Task Force Announcement

The Greater Milwaukee Synod Task Force, by the grace of God and with great discernment and prayer, recommends the following dispersal of funds from the sale of the property of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Waukesha: 

 

• Faith/Santa Fe Lutheran Church, Milwaukee - $100,000 - for developing a Latino Outreach Ministry in Waukesha
• Greater Milwaukee Synod Tanzania Committee - $95,000 - for planning and building a deep groundwater well in the Meru Diocese
• Just One More Ministry, St. Matthew's, Wauwatosa - $75,000 - for expanding food security and food rescue ministries
• All Peoples, Milwaukee - $75,000 - for supporting food ministries and purchasing land for a community garden
• A fifth proposal for community development with programs to impact youth, women, and families is pending after review by the Greater Milwaukee Synod El Salvador committee.

God has blessed us greatly with 35 strong grant proposals with a wide range of focus and creativity.  We continue to pray that the ideas expressed in these projects have opportunity to flourish through God's abundant grace.
