Dear Friends,
As we enter into February, there’s lots of exciting things to share. First, our Sunday morning services start a new sermon series: Hashtag Theology. Tomorrow’s sermon: #SuperSunday. We’ve got lots of things planned all month as we celebrate Black History Month.
We are also ready to launch our 2015 Shalom Groups. As a reminder, this is the primary place to connect with both your deacon and a small group within the congregation. One big change is that all our shalom groups will meet during the 2nd week. While you’ll still meet in small groups, there will be another group or two in the building at the same time. As always, if your shalom time doesn’t work, please contact
vi...@allpeoplesgathering.org and Vr. Janelle will help you get into a new group. I’ve attached the full list of deacon families. If you don’t find yourself, it probably means we need to update our database and you can start with
off...@allpeoplesgathering.org.
February 8 is a two-fer with All Peoples. First, we have our budget meeting at 10am. The sustainability team has been working hard to present a balanced budget. The narrative outline is attached and line item budgets will be available at the meeting. If you’d like to see it before the meeting, please contact the office.
Later that night we launch SEEDS: A New Worship Experience. This service, held at Florist Ave on 40th Street, will start with an open mic at 5 and the service at 5:30pm. Brit Nicole (from last year’s talent show and all over the spoken word scene) is our open mic featured artist.
Finally, we should have a co-signed contract by APC and St. Vincent de Paul for construction on February 26th. Look for announcements about changes to our food ministry later this month. Don’t forget to make a donation and do you #LoveSongsForAll video!
As always, there’s a lot going on and we are blessed by you and your dedication. We pray that you are blessed as well.
Peace, Pastor Steve
