2014 continues to be a year focused on our 3R's theme: Renew. Reform. Revival. As an English major it might seem odd to embrace these three words in this form. Why not renewal, reformation, revival? Or renew, reform, revive? Mostly, it is because the third word needs to be different. In 2014, our revival flows out of congregational renewal and reforms. But those actions, those primary moves come not as an invitation. They are not optional. They are written in the command form. And I believe that command is from God. God calls us to renew our church and renew our lives. God calls us to reform our ministry and our calling. And since God is active in the calling and the work it flows toward a purpose and a destination. Following the command to renew and reform our church will experience a revival.

Central to this work is the official business of the congregation. Our annual meeting tomorrow sets the course for 2014 with both our budget and our leadership. Folks have been working and praying faithfully on both aspects of our congregation and have blessed All Peoples with their voice and their commitments.  We will also take nominations from the floor for the leadership teams.

Come and join the movement of the Holy Spirit at our annual meeting, tomorrow at 10 am.

Peace, Pastor Steve
