This message is from Engineering Council regarding volunteer things
going on. We do need to have volunteer hours to be part of EC and
continue to receive their funding, so please volunteer if you can and
sign up as ANS!
Hi all,
Please pass this on to your groups! This is one of the two
opportunities for your society to get their volunteering requirement
for the year.
Student Introduction To Engineering (SITE) is an Engineering Council
program that invites high school seniors to campus for 3 days. The
Friday night of SITE the participants are housed by current
engineering students. It does not matter if you live in a dorm,
apartment, house, etc. The students will have sleeping bags, so as
long as you have some floor space, they will have a place to sleep.
We would need you to host a student from Friday February 12, 2010 at
5:30pm until Saturday February 13 at 10am. You would be responsible
for them that night. You would get free dinner on Friday and free
breakfast on Saturday. There is a hockey game and broom ball Friday
night as an option of something to do.
Please consider helping the SITE committee out by hosting one of our
90 participants. If you would like to sign up to volunteer please go
to http://site.ec.uiuc.edu/ and click on volunteers. We really
appreciate your help in housing our SITE participants. If you have any
questions, contact Kaitlin Clapper at clap...@illinois.edu.
Thanks for the help!
