Please forgive this rather dramatic email but I am trying to help save
the life of a very beautiful Alaskan Malamute living in Prague with
her American owner.

She has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and has had a leg amputated;
she was recovering well from the operation. However she needs on-
going, expensive treatment and sadly, a further extremely urgent
operation.

Her owner has so far managed to fund her care but has now run out of
funds. The website link www.crazybear.org will give you full details
of the desperate situation in which her owner finds himself and will
tell you about the progress of her illness and his fight to keep her
alive.

I have got involved because as a dog owner myself I found it
unbearable to think that I could not give my own dog the best
opportunity of fighting illness because of lack of funds. If you are
able to help in any way, then the website gives full details of how to
do so.

I am mailing this link to as many Malamute lovers as I can locate on
the internet so you may hear of others receiving it. However please
do circulate it yourself as widely as possible - I hope people will
understand if they receive multiple copies. Time is now of the
essence.

Thank you for reading to the end.

As much as my heart goes out to this situation the correct treatment would be to put her to sleep.
I am talking from sad experience, one of my mals (Angel) contracted diabetes. She is blind and insuline is expensive.
I have to put her to sleep and will do so in the next two weeks.
(I have been saying this for the past 8 weeks...)

Are you sure this isnt a scam?? There are so many so called "desperate pleas" that involve putting money in someone's bank account that you've never heard of....sorry to be cynical.....

Yes, I was thinking the same thing Shirley!!!  I have to tell you in the last five days I have received numerous emails, one supposedly from BMW, two from a casino and several from people saying they're inherited money but can't get it out and can I help and the money will be put into my account!!  All of them are scams.

I have to agree with Roux, I know it sounds very harsh, but this guy is in an impossible situation.

PS If you go to the crazybear website they will have access to your email
address and the spam/con mail will never end. I wonder how many critically
ill dogs of other breeds in obscure places, needing urgent financial aid
have appeared in other breeders forums! the favourite is to use a
"critically ill" fictitious child that good folks cant resist. This was on a
recent radio SAFM broadcast by the fraud division of the police.

Totally in disagreement with this type of postings should it not be
for real.

You have to read the wording and the way they present their plea and
then make a decision for yourself - is it for real or a scam.

Must agree after going to this specific website, I myself did not feel
comfortable.

At least by posting this e-mail received, created awareness in one way
or another. At the end each one must make their own evaluation about
the content.

Lukily haven't received any follow-up e-mails after visiting this
specific site.

I was like looking for contact details of a Vet to be able to track
this case, but could not find any - that made me wonder.
