Billy Wood WAS Alumni passes on-Derek Hargrave/UK

Dear Friends,
It is with much sadness that I inform you of the passing of Billy Wood on the 29th of September 2014. He was 85 years old.

Billy was educated at Wynberg-Allen where he was an above average scholar and a very enthusiastic sportsman, excelling in football, hockey and swimming.

He was a genuine team-player, hence his popularity among his schoolmates and members of staff

Billy was a member of our society from the onset and was a regular attendee at our reunions, but due to failing health he had to miss our last four meetings. Sadly he will not be able to celebrate his 60

th Wedding Anniversary with his beloved wife, Marilyn, which will be on December 4th this year.An event he was so looking forward to.

I have sent a condolence card to Marilyn on behalf of the Society, and I am sure individual condolence wishes by members will go a long way in comforting Marilyn in her great loss.
