Aamir

it would serve us well - if you can share a traceroute from your ISP to your site http://www.propakistani.com/ - might help us figure out where the blockage might actually be happening.  as far as the ISP's acting up I can confirm a 503 error on Mobilink GPRS (I dont know how to do a tracer on Blackberry)

On my end MaxCom and CyberNet appear to be in the clear and your site is fully accessible from both these ISP's.  When PTA starts acting fishy I have seen [out of personal experinece] that Cyber Net is usually one ISP to take an immediate hit as its traffic goes through PTA firewalls while MaxCom continues to brave it out until really pushed down hard.

I have CC'd this email to AGABBIP mailing list [http://groups.google.com/group/AGABBIP] for updates from that list as well, once we have enough confirmations [from more ISP's]  I can then help issue a Press Release on the Dont Block the Blog platform for further attention, but we should have confirmations from other sources before screaming foul

www.ProPakistnai.com is still blocked on PTCL, Ufone GPRS and few other ISPs... please anyone suggest me what exactly to follow to get unblocked? If its due to technical reason?

I still cant access it from maxcom and there is a problem in pakistan that is not every ISP follows these directives (and some dont use PIE) so it is really hard to determine if its really blocked or its an ISP issue
btw whenever i have seen sites get blocked in the past i never saw maxcom blocking them but this time around maxcom is also blocking
maybe its a DNS issue but you said PTCL blocked it for two days that means something serious

I think i need to take your suggestion seriously : - )

I guess this is DNS issue, but wondering why it is unable to resolve only one IP???

I cant access Propakistani.com which is the blog of a fellow member of TGP (Mr. Aamir), i am getting a address not found error while i can easily access it using proxy or using open dns but not maxcom's DNS servers. I remember reading a new item that ptcl will now block websites by domain names instead of IP address
mr aamir did you write anything agaisnt the government recently?
