Collecting Ideas for Design Studio Collaboration!

Hi folks,

We're putting together some ideas for a potential collaborative Design
Studio between University of Auckland, AUT School of Design and Unitec
School of Architecture. It is also likely we will be collaborating
with AAA - Auckland Architecture Association, as they have some
experience getting projects like this off the ground. We will get the
studio going as early as July/August this year. And of course we're
not ruling out the possiblity of flying Cameron out for the final
crit!

We're looking to your input on identifying few pressing matters or
strategies within Auckland/New Zealand to start a dialogue and get the
ball moving so to speak. As an example, Rui raised the issue of
substandard housing in South Auckland and that's something worth
looking into. Can we still do something about the rain+shelter
+homeless?

What is the most urgent/pressing matter that you think students of
architecture and further the community should be aware of? How does
this fit in NZ and how does fit with overseas some where?
