Greetings, Dog Parkers!
Hope everyone's holidays were merry and 2012 is the best yet!

Until yesterday, couldn't beat the weather - but it sounds like more warm stuff by week's end :)

 

Just a heads up on a couple things ...

 

1) Pass Promotion extended! http://www.ankenyiowa.gov/index.aspx?page=22&recordid=2487
You can still SAVE $5 on your Dog Park pass when purchased by Feb. 29! Ankeny dogs must also be licensed with the City (non-resident dogs need proof of rabies). See below for info on obtaining Ankeny's license & Dog Park pass.

 

2) 2012 Dog Park plans! Got ideas? We'll be holding hold our 1st meeting of the year in January. The purpose is to determine 2012 priorities, what events to hold this year, ideas for fundraising, etc. ASAP, please let me know which date you prefer - Monday, Jan. 23 or 30; forward any agenda items; and/or let me know if you would like to be more actively involved this year! We just might have a volunteer job for you ;) (More on that later ...)

Attention Resident Cat & Dog Owners: 2012 Pet Licenses are Now Available!

For your convenience, there are two locations to renew:   1.   City Hall at 410 W. First St. 2.   Parks & Recreation Office at 210 S. Ankeny Blvd. Both offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., M-F You may also renew by mail. Whichever renewal method you choose, there are three things we need from you: 1.   Current rabies certificate (not not already on file) 2.   Up-to-date information, such as new address, phone #’s, etc. For renewals by mail, complete the online application, print and mail to City of Ankeny, 410 W. First St., Ankeny, IA 50023.   3.   Payment of $10 per pet ($1 per pet handling fee for renewals by mail) Note: We accept payment by cash, check (made payable to City of Ankeny) or debit/credit card. Credit cards cannot be accepted over the phone or through the mail. Please renew your pet license by Wednesday, March 31st. If you have already renewed for calendar year 2012, thank you! For your convenience, dog owners may also renew or purchase Ankeny Dog Park pass when you pick up your pet tag at either location. Questions about renewing pet licenses?
