Meeting Purpose: 2011 Status Report & Summer Plans
Status Report:
· Dog Park passes – @ 800 to date ($25/dog for residents; $35/dog for non-residents with proof of vaccinations; passes valid through Dec. 2011.) Other Ideas – metro pass; capital fund
· Dog Park Flower Bed – planting Sat. May 14 ~ 11:30 a.m. Volunteers welcome!
· Shelter Installation/Sponsor – footings to be poured soon; installation to follow pending $15k sponsorship (June?).
· Display Case & Brick Installation – upon shelter completion; 111 total bricks with 31 designated for memorial area; stay tuned
· Pond Aerator & Walking Path – both designated improvements pending funding
Summer Plans: Events or no events?
Bark & Brews at Chips? Dog Park Etiquette or other events on-site at Dog Park? Barktoberfest at Chips?
Possible Dates
· June 11, July 16 or 23 – Ankeny Bark-N-Brews at Chips?
· July 9 – SummerFest Parade
· July 10 – WoofStock (ARL)
· Aug X – Ankeny Pooch Paddle – volunteer for extended hours & $?
· Oct. 8 – 4th annual Barktoberfest at Chips?
