Barktoberfest
gives dogs and dog-lovers a chance to socialize and support Ankeny’s new 7.5-acre off-leash dog park that
opened in 2010, thanks to title sponsor Community State Bank and many generous
donors.
To date,
more than 1,000 annual passes have been sold. 2012 passes go on sale in
November, and fundraising efforts continue to support future amenities – such
as the new shelter recently installed by DMACC Building Trades students.
