3rd Annual Ankeny Bark-N-Brew at Chips Restaurant TODAY!

Canines and their human companions are invited to bring their leashes and lawn chairs for the Ankeny Dog Park’s 3rd annual Bark-N-Brew – Saturday, June 26 – at Chips Restaurant in Ankeny from 4-8 p.m.

The outdoor “dog party” gives dog-lovers and their four-legged friends a chance to socialize while raising support for Ankeny’s off-leash dog park.

Highlights include:

  • Agility demonstrations by Canine Craze Performance Center
  • Retriever demonstrations by Tri-County Boarding Kennel
  • Nail Trims by Pawsitively Pampered
  • Doggie treats by Brown Dog Bakery
  • Food and beverages by Chips Restaurant
  • Music, entertainment and prizes!

Admission is $5 for dogs; two-legged guests are admitted free. Event waivers and photos from last year’s events are available at www.AnkenyDogPark.org.

The 7.5-acre Dog Park north of Somersby Park is slated to open later this summer while fundraising efforts continue. Upcoming events include a Paw Spa at the Bark Zone, July 24, and BarktoberFest at Chips Restaurant, October 9.

The Ankeny Dog Park and Bark-N-Brew are made possible by generous sponsors Community State Bank, AgVision Agribusiness Software, Ashley’s Pet Sitting Service, Bark Busters Home Dog Training, Brown Dog Bakery, Canine Craze Performance Center, Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital, 4 Paws Unleashed, Robidoux Country Kennels, Snyder & Associates, Tri-County Boarding Kennel, and event partners Chips Restaurant, Pawsitively Pampered and Scooper Troopers.
