The Ankeny Dog Park Task Force hoped the 5th and final Barktoberfest would end with a bang, but Mother Nature’s wicked potion forecasting 100% rain and chance of severe storms has transformed the event.

Plan BOO

Lest we call her a witch or worse, despair not! The traditional outdoor dog party will now be an indoor people party at Chips Restaurant this Saturday – Oct. 13 – from 1-5 p.m. Please join Task Force members, friends, family and volunteers as we raise a glass and celebrate 5 years of Dog Park success. (Free admission!)

While our favorite canine activities may be nixed, there will still be plenty of food, fun, games and prizes! Plus, guests in attendance will have first crack at our NEW limited edition 2013
Ankeny Dog Park calendars (available for $10 donation while supplies last).

For those in the holiday spirit whose dogs had their Halloween costumes lined up and ready to go, feel free to wear it instead – you may just win a special prize!

The Task Force would like to thank everyone involved with the
Ankeny Dog Park these past 5 years. It has been a gratifying journey that would not have been possible without the support and dedication of many. We couldn’t be prouder that our collective efforts have yielded such a fantastic community park. Hope to see you there when it re-opens with its brand new walking trail – COMING SOON! :)
