You and your furry friends are invited to the Ankeny Dog Park's Open House - Saturday, June 18, from 9:00 AM to Noon.
The park is located at the corner of SW Goodwin and South Ankeny Road.
Guests can check out our 7.5 acre park, featuring a half-acre pond, separate small and large dog areas and open green space for dogs to run off-leash. Dog park passes are not required for this event, but dogs must be socialized and current on vaccinations.
Representatives from the Dog Park, Canine Craze Performance Center and Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital will be on hand to answer health, behavior and training questions. Information about City pet licenses, Dog Park passes, rules, tips and canine behavior will also be available.
Pawsitively Pampered will offer $10 nail trims with proceeds benefiting the Dog Park, and Brown Dog Bakery will provide complimentary dog treats. Activities include drawings for a $25 Ankeny Parks & Recreation gift certificate toward a 2011 Dog Park pass, plus (2) $50 gift certificates for Pawsitively Pampered services!!
