Season's Greetings, Dog Park fans!
Hope your Holiday plans are in full gear and the snow didn't slow you down too terribly much ... at least it's going to be a white Christmas, right? :)
Besides wishing you and yours a Verry Merry Holiday =), we just wanted to remind everyone of the Dec. 31 deadline for 2 things:
2) Sign up to be a 2013 Dog Park Ambassador. If you haven't already contacted Parks & Rec, please email your name by 12/31 to jac...@ankenydogpark.org. A List of candidates will be forwarded to Parks & Rec; they will follow up after the 1st. Orientation is anticipated some time in Feb. Details are being finalized, but 2013 Dog Park passes will be free for those committing to 40+ hours of service. If you are interested, do NOT buy your 2013 pass just yet! If your name is on the List and you decide NOT to become an Ambassador, you will still be able to purchase a pass at the $5 discount from the Parks & Rec office. Any questions? Please contact Jacquie (419-3148).
Farewell from the Dog Park Task Force!
In other news, the end of the year marks the conclusion of the Ankeny Dog Park Task Force. Mission Accomplished! Since the Dog Park is a City park, going forward questions may be directed to the Parks & Rec office: 963-3570. Dog Park information, including an Incident Report form, can also be found on their website: Ankeny Dog Park page. To those who have served on the Task Force, sponsored the Dog Park, volunteered for the Dog Park, or in any number of ways helped breathe the Dog Park to life during these past 5 years, we THANK YOU! It's been a great run, and we hope dog-lovers and their pooches will enjoy the Dog Park for years to come!
Cheers for a Safe, Happy and Healthy Holiday ~ Hope to see you around in 2013!
