June Update

Good afternoon,

It's a very long time since the last update, but that doesn't mean we
haven't been working on the website(www.ash-church.org.uk). In fact
the opposite is true. We've been so busy updating the site we haven't
got round to sending out an update mail.

Key changes include:
Churchwardens' Projects Page **NEW** - Three pages regularly updated
detailing the current situation with the Tower, Bell and Church Room
projects.

Rota - The latest Rota is available to download

Ash Church Youth Club **NEW** - The Church Youth Club now has a number
of pages about it detailing what's happening and what has happened.

Churchwardens **NEW** - The Churchwardens now have their own page
which leads to the Projects page.

Friends of Ash Church **NEW** - The Friends have a page detailing
information which we are looking to expand shortly.

The Healing Team **NEW** - The Healing Team has a few pages with full
information about their activities.

Thanks to Colin for providing much of the information for these new
pages.

The News page has a number of new items but we still need your news.
If something is happening send us a short piece of text and if
possible a picture and we'll include it on the news page.

Of course the Calendar (Dates for your Diary) and What's On are
constantly kept up to date. If you see something missing from the
Calendar, drop us a line.

Ash Fete - Saturday 28th June
-----------------------------
Don't forget the fete on Saturday on the Cricket Field opposite the
Church. Lots of fun and plenty to do, gates open 1.30pm.

Logo Competition
----------------
Talking about the Fete, don't forget to bring your Logo Competition
entries to the Fete to hand in to the PA tent. The church is seeking
to promote its identity and we want you to help by designing a logo.
Full details are in the fete programme and on the website. The winning
logo will be used on the website, in printed material and perhaps even
on some items of clothing. Better still the winning entry will win £50
and there are two runner up prizes of £25. Whether you're artistic or
not just have a go, entry is open to all!

European Open Traffic Arrangements
----------------------------------
You are probably aware by now that the European Open is coming to the
London Golf Club from 3rd to 6th July. Concerns have been expressed
over where the traffic will be routed and we have details provided by
the Golf Club on the website. Hopefully you will not experience any
problems but journey times may be increased. See the website for more
details.


Over the coming months the website will be undergoing an overhaul and
we'll be doing some work on Internet Explorer 8 compatibility. If
there are any improvements or anything you'd like to see on the site
then let us know by emailing web....@ash-church.org.uk and we'll see
what we can do!
