    • Open to adults and juniors (not an ACTJCL event)

    • Riverina Chess School Holiday Clinic (Tumut, NSW) - 23rd and 24th of January
    • Riverina Chess Tournament (Tumut, NSW) - Saturday 25th of January

2024 ACTJCL Transfer Chess and End of Year Awards - Sunday 15 December

Make sure you don't miss out on our final event of the year. On Sunday 15 December, ACTJCL will be hosting our End of Year Transfer Event and End of Year Awards. Transfer (sometimes known as Bughouse) chess is a game played in teams of two. The rules vary across the country, but don't worry we will explain all the rules on the day. You can register as an individual or as a Team, and parents are welcome to play.

Campbell High School, Library
Cost 
$30 per team ($15 for individuals)
Time control
5 minutes each (no touch move)
Awards
Champion Team & Runner Up Trophies and rating group prizes where the total team rating does not exceed 1500 or 1000. Trophies will also be given for the best family team.

Notice: This Friday, 13 December will be the final week of Norths Chess Club. There will be no coaching activities this week, but we will be hosting the end of term transfer event and awards ceremony.

    11am to 2:30pm Saturday 21st December
    Where
    King O'Malley's, City Walk, Canberra City (Street Chess location)

    Adult supervision required. 
    Cost 
    $10 adults
    $5 juniors 

    Note: residents must be a member of the ACTCA or ACTJCL to take part in the event
    Time control
    15 minutes per game (7 round swiss event)
    Awards
    Minimum $300 prize pool (minimum $100 1st, plus rating prizes)
