Summer Boot Camp

Thank you to everyone who came to our Summer Boot Camp this school holidays. We had a great bunch of children participated in our various events which included coaching, blitz, rapid and a long-time control tournament. Our most consistent performers throughout the week were Jack Zhuang (Telopea Park School), Arnav Jain (Radford College) and newcomer Phong Huynh (Gold Creek School).

I hope you all enjoyed the events. I'd like to thank Shaun Press for his assistance over the week and a big thank you to our wonderful junior volunteers Lachlan Ho (Radford College) who came for all four days and Ruofan Xu (Lyneham High School) who kindly assisted for two days. I'd also like to thank our coaches including FM Shaun, Dillon, Joshua and Lachlan. The event would not have been possible without their help and the wonderful hospitality of Campbell High School. Make sure you stay tuned for upcoming events which will be released via emails and on our website shortly.

Come and enjoy a week of coaching, lightning, allegro, long-time control chess and where time permits a transfer event. Our school holiday events are extremely popular, so please make sure you book well in advance. You can book for one day or all days, whatever works for you. Note that we offer a $10 discount if you book for all four days in advance. (Note: we are still working to generate the discount for the TryBooking website. If the discount is not applied, we will provide you a refund of $10). These events will be an excellent opportunity for children to practice prior to their Schools Team Championships or one of Canberra's biggest events, the ANU Open. For more information, check out the attached flyers.
