Hi all

In this email:

2023 ACT Junior Chess Winter Bootcamp

Thank you to everyone who participated at the ACT Junior Chess Winter Bootcamp during the second week of the school holidays. We had some fantastic numbers, with around 50 enthusiastic participants on each day. Over the course of the week, our juniors had the opportunity to have coaching and compete in various competition formats.

I’d like to thank our wonderful helpers and our superb coaches and arbiters, including Shaun Press, Ian Hosking, Steven Sengstock and Athena Hathiramani. As usual, I’d like to thank Campbell High for hosting us and allowing us to use their library, and of course our wonderful juniors who kindly helped pack up at the end of the events. A special note of thanks to Oscar Wu, Rex Shen, Tomoki Horikawa and Masaki Horikawa for their help for the duration of the tournament.

The list of prize winners is below and you can find a cross table from each of three events by following the respective links. Congratulations to everyone who participated and hope to see you at our next event.
