As this event is limited to twenty participants, we are taking applications from ACT juniors (born 2004 or later) who meet the below eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the simul, juniors must:
- Reside in the ACT or immediate surrounds, and;
- Be experienced tournament players, with a record of competition against adult players. Preference will be given to players
who have recently played in tournaments outside of school (e.g. 2022 Doeberl Cup, ACTJCL weekend or holiday events, in ACT chess clubs etc), and;
- Be 2022 financial members of the ACTJCL.
If you have not paid for membership this year, then you are not a member. You
can see details on membership here:

.
Cost
Nil.
How to apply
Parents/guardians of juniors (or juniors) who meet the eligibility criteria need to email me (Kate, secr...@actjcl.org.au) with
the player's first and last names and a contact mobile number by 5pm on Wednesday
4th May. Please be aware that as the simul is limited to 20 players, not
everyone who meets the eligibility criteria will receive a place.
I will notify successful/unsuccessful applicants via email by Thursday 5th May.
