Primary Schools & Secondary Schools Championships - 18th October & 25th October

Hi Everyone,

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the ACT Junior Chess League will be holding its interschool events in a different format for this year. There will be two tournaments, one for Primary School players (on 18th October), and one for Secondary School players (25th October). 

These events will be held on Sundays at Campbell High School Library, with entry being the responsibility of individual players and parents rather than schools. 

Both events will be run as individual (not team) events, with prizes for both the first placed boy and first placed girl in each school year and also team prizes based on the top four scorers for each school in Open and Girls sections.   Please note that this is an individual event, so even if only one player from their school can attend, that is encouraged.

The tournament may be used to determine the ACT representatives for the 2020 Australian Schools Teams Championships (which is being run as an online event this year).

Entries are limited to 60 players per event, so please get your entries in as soon as possible.
