Future Stars Tournament (Under 500 rated)
Saturday 8th May
Almost Sold Out!

Entries close at 9pm on Friday 7th May. No entries will be accepted on the day.

We've had a great response to the Future Stars Tournament and only a few places are left.

Future Stars is a one-day, three-round tournament for novice level juniors seeking to gain experience in playing games with standard time controls (in this case, 60 minutes plus 10 seconds per move from move 1). Players will compete in small groups, with two ACTJCL coaches providing individual game analysis after players have completed their games.

To be eligible for this event, juniors must have either an Australian Chess Federation standard rating* below 500 or no standard rating, know the rules of chess and be able to confidently move the pieces around the board. Players will need to record all of their moves during games (see this PDF for instructions on how to record chess moves).

See further details about this event here: https://actjcl.org.au/actjcl/results/2021/2021_Future_Stars.pdf

Entry is via Trybooking only: https://www.trybooking.com/BQOSUEntries close at 9pm on Friday 7th May. If you turn up on the day without having entered via Trybooking, we will not accept your entry.

*A standard rating is an official rating gained from playing games where each player receives at least 60 minutes per game. Use this ratings lookup tool to see if your child has a standard rating: sachess.org.au/ratings/
