2025 Winter Bootcamp - 7th to 10th July

The ACT Junior Chess League Winter Bootcamp will be running from Monday July 7th to Thursday July 10th at Campbell High School, Treloar Cres, Campbell 

At the Winter Boot Camp – Chess Coaching and Lightning day (7th July), players will have a morning of top quality coaching from some of Canberra’s best coaches. Coaching will take place in ability based groups over 3 x 1 hour sessions. The afternoon is taken up by a fun event called “Lightning”. 

The Boot Camp Allegro is on Tue 8th July, players will play a one day tournament with a time limit of  15 minutes per player per game. This event will be both ACF Rated (Quickplay list) and FIDE Rated (Rapid List).

The Boot Camp Long Time Tournament on Wed 9th and Thu 10th July. This will be a 6 round event (over 2 days) where each player will have 60m+10s to play all their moves. Players will need to record their moves to be able to play this event.  This event will be rated on the ACF (Standard) and FIDE (Standard) rating lists.
