North Junior Chess Club Resumes this Friday 4 February

Hi all

I am pleased to announce that North Junior Chess Club will be resuming this Friday the 4th of February.  If your child(ren) is not returning to the club this term, please let me know so we can accommodate for other students. 

Norths Junior Chess Club

North Junior Chess Club (NJCC) is held at Radford College (room ROG01) in Bruce and runs every Friday from 4pm - 5:45pm during the Public School Term. The chess club is suitable for children at all levels and we cater to different age groups.  If you are interested in joining, please send me an email at emmag...@hotmail.com. 

Fees​

Term fees for North Junior Chess Club has increased to $120 per term.  In addition to joining the club, all participants need to become an ACT Junior Chess League member.  The ACTJCL annual membership fee is $15 for individual or $20 for family (ie more than one players).  Memberships can be purchased online here https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/850268.  In addition to being able to join NJCC, the membership provides discounts throughout the year for select ACTJCL events. 

Schedule    

4pm-4:15pm	Arrival and participants can play social games*
4:15pm-5pm	Participants split into ability based groups for chess coaching
5pm-5:45pm	Children are paired for a competition game and complete a puzzle when they finish

* Please do not drop your child off before 4pm without adult supervision and children should be picked up by 5.45pm
