LIBRARIAN I -- OUTREACH AND ADULT SERVICES
Are you passionate about community engagement and ready to join a dynamic team? The Reading Public Library seeks an energetic and outgoing Librarian to focus on adult services and innovative outreach initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an inclusive library experience for adults and teens, bringing library resources beyond our building through our RPL on Wheels book bike program, and supporting community partnerships.

You will plan and implement engaging adult programming, coordinate community outreach events, assist patrons with reference and readers' advisory services, curate collections, and promote library services throughout Reading. We are looking for a self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The ability to build collaborative relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and town departments is also essential.
This non-exempt 37.5-hour-a-week position includes one evening per week and an every third
Saturday rotation, and is eligible for Sunday hours at a 1.5 OT rate. Benefits and ample
professional development opportunities are included. Salary range: $31.67-$33.17 per
hour.

Are you passionate about serving older adults and ready to join a dynamic team? The
Reading Public Library seeks an enthusiastic and flexible Librarian to focus on reference and specialized services for adults aged 55+. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an inclusive library experience for older adult patrons.  You will plan and implement engaging programming tailored to adults aged 55+, provide comprehensive reference and readers' advisory services, curate collections including large print materials, and coordinate community outreach to connect with older adults throughout Reading. We are looking for a self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The ability to build collaborative relationships with senior community organizations, healthcare providers, and social services is also essential.
