Hi! We use TLC.
We have several closed collections (Home Delivery Large Print, educational kits, video games, board games, etc.). All show up in the catalog, where they can be put on hold.
You do not need to have a static IP address; everything lives on the cloud.
I don’t know how your IT department would set it up, but ours has us log into the system using Global Protect when you are away from the building at an event or on one of our vehicles. It adds one more step to getting set up when we arrive at a stop or an event, but really isn’t that much of a hassle. Well, unless it decides not to work that day…
I’ve never used another system, so I can’t offer comparisons. However, it has worked fairly well for us. We have the system set up so you can designate a patron as a Home Delivery patron, which has different circulation rules. We have the Mobile Library and the BookMARK as home libraries and places to pick up a hold, and we use the first phone number field to designate what their stop is (ML-BethSchmidt). TLC is easy to learn and user-friendly.
