RICHARD BOYKIN TO ANNOUNCE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO END COURT FEES AND FORGIVE DEBT AS CIRCUIT COURT CLERK
Richard Boykin, community leaders and stakeholders will announce a plan to eliminate Circuit Court fees and seek the forgiveness of all debt connected to court fees.
Richard Boykin, Candidate for Circuit Court Clerk, promises to end the practice of court fees assessed by the Circuit Court Clerk’s office and to seek the complete forgiveness of all debt associated with those fees. This plan will allow residents a much needed clean start by ending the perpetual spiral of debt.
“Justice is not a service to be provided in exchange for a fee. Justice is a human right and people who do the right thing by coming to court should not be trapped in a spiral of debt as a result,” says Boykin.
