Devotion/The Pain We Feel

Revelation 21:4

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

 

I use the verse above a lot..I think of the day when God will wipe away all our tears. We need something to hold onto, it's a wonderful verse to just hold onto and ponder on all day long. I stay in constant physical pain, some days are worse than others but this verse always pops in when I'm at my lowest. I keep fighting  the good fight because we have to hold on, nothing can compare to the joy that is coming for us. God is faithful and He promises this for us one day.

 

Let's talk about Job, all the pain and loss he suffered but he stood strong in the Lord because he new what God had for him..no matter what he went through he decided this ..and he chose God, to wait upon Him for healing and God didn't forsake him and He won't forsake us either.

 

Job 16:6

“Yet if I speak, my pain is not relieved; and if I refrain, it does not go away.

 

See the verse above , Job's pain is not relieved but he carries on , he didn't listen to his friends because he knew the one and only true God and he knew how he could heal and take away his pain and suffering.

 

Then we have David the one after God's own heart, he suffered so much and cried out to God for  relief and forgiveness.

 

Psalm 38:7

My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body.

Psalm 38:17

For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me.

 

So when we begin to give up we can go back to these verses and remember that our pain isn't the end and we will not suffer forever, for He will wash away all our tears, hold onto that message and keep fighting the good fight..
