What’d be your Roles and Responsibilities:
Ø As Data scientist you will directly work under top management, closely interact on daily basis, will have to take key responsibilities, deliver & integrate innovative data driven solution to our various products.
Ø You will closely coordinate with Search and Data Mining team, to working on variety of problems ranging from building the search and ranking systems, mining user data or catalogue data to build search suggestions, finding related queries,
Ø Writing clustering algorithms, creating online servers that respond to queries within milliseconds - all at scale.
Ø You will work on a huge store of millions of articles, and provide intelligent solution or work on interesting topics like sentiment analysis, understanding user’s interest graphs and achieve personalization or accurate suggestions.
Ø You will be closely working with Editorial teams to come up with innovative data visualizations or analyze data from public sources to tell interesting stories.
What skills are we looking for?
· Masters / Ph.D degree in Statistics / Mathematics/ Computer Science or related fields.
· Strong hold of concepts in Statistics and expertise in Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, text mining and text analytics.
· Proficiency in R / Python / Java. We use R heavily for prototyping ML algorithm on data. You will have to work on multiple programming languages to push your solutions into production.
· Enough programmatic background to rapidly build scalable, efficient and high performance code.
· Experience with Big Data technologies and basic understanding of Hadoop and map-reduce framework.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, convincing, analytical and problem solving skills.
· Numbers-driven with strong analytical skills and experience using web analytics.
· Ability to influence others and gain support from stakeholders. Strong collaborator and team player.
