What exactly are you looking for; what do you need from folks exactly?

Hi ya'll

Kevlin and I had been talking about submitting an abstract for a talk on
97 things for JavaONE. This year it will take place during the third
week of September. Unfortunately, our fearless editor is engaged that
week and the thought of presenting a collaborative effort single
handedly didn't seem proper so Kevlin and I wanted to throw out an
invite to anyone that might want to co-present. Submission deadline is
March 10th. Having been on the selection committee all I can say is that
getting an abstract together that would be considered much harder than
it seems. Last year there were 22 slots for the track I worked on for
which there were ~450 submissions. As you can imagine, a lot of good
talks didn't make it and the first 1 or 2 sentences of the abstract made
a huge difference even getting consideration. Not to discourage
anyone... 'cos I think that we'd have better than even odds.

Regards,
Kirk

Well, what I'm looking for is someone that was interested in
co-presenting. JavaONE rules in the past allowed for 2 speakers for a
session. So if many apply Kevlin and I had spoken about how to
informally include others that maybe present.

Kirk,
I am very interested in being a co-presenter. I presented at JavaOne
2008, the talk was "Building Better User Experiences", and loved it.
If you're interested let me know what you need from me.

If it helps, I'll be attending your evening talk in Atlanta on the
23rd and we can talk face to face there - or email me at
BurkHu...@gmail.com and we can work out other means of contact.

Looking forward to working with you,
Burk Hufnagel
