Yes. I'll send them later.
Thanks. Yes, looks good. Mine turned up yesterday.
Kevlin and I had been talking about submitting an abstract for a talk on
97 things for JavaONE. This year it will take place during the third
week of September. Unfortunately, our fearless editor is engaged that
week and the thought of presenting a collaborative effort single
handedly didn't seem proper so Kevlin and I wanted to throw out an
invite to anyone that might want to co-present. Submission deadline is
March 10th. Having been on the selection committee all I can say is that
getting an abstract together that would be considered much harder than
it seems. Last year there were 22 slots for the track I worked on for
which there were ~450 submissions. As you can imagine, a lot of good
talks didn't make it and the first 1 or 2 sentences of the abstract made
a huge difference even getting consideration. Not to discourage
anyone... 'cos I think that we'd have better than even odds.

Kirk

Please don't send mine by ground/sea mail. It'll take a month and I am not that patient! :-)

The fact that the contributors got their copies means that the book is in the warehouse. From there, it tends to take a couple of weeks to percolate out to bookstores. Amazon has it "in stock" on the 19th, though that date doesn't mean much.Probably longer for those of you in Europe, unfortunately, but I don't really know.Mike
