Hi,

The number of contributions has been higher than expected, as has the
quality. This is a _good_ thing!

What this means in practice is that there are certainly going to be
more than 97 good items to choose from, but there's less need to
continue gathering items until the end of October. With that in mind,
I'm making mid October the cut-off for adding, editing and moving
submissions to the Edited Contributions page.

I'm still working my way through the backlog of items that are Ready
for Editing, so apologies if it's been a couple of weeks since you
wrote your contribution and haven't yet had any feedback. If you have
anything that is Not Yet Ready for Editing, I suggest trying to
revisit within the next week or so to make sure that it's included as
Ready for Editing.

If you already have an item in the Edited Contributions, please check
that your bio is complete (photo of appropriate dimension, etc.) and
please discuss or apply any outstanding editing suggestions I have
previously made.

Thanks!

Kevlin

I'm really excited about this book. I haven't read all the contributions, but the ones I've read have been excellent. I think this could be the best "97 Things" book yet.

As Kevlin says, we're trying to wrap things up early so we can have this finished and in bookstores by early January.
