Associate Professor Glenn Corbett of John Jay College has been named the 2012 Man of the Year for many reasons:

• For the past 10+ years he has not only supported the 9/11 families and the victims, but he has also provided all of us with knowledge, support, direction and skill.
• Glenn has been in attendance at every rally, march, and press conference, addressing the many issues that the families have faced over the years.
  
• He has continuously advocated for fire safety improvements in high-rise buildings as well as advances in emergency response and communications through his Congressional testimony, 9/11 Commission testimony, and his position on the federal advisory committee to the National Institute of Standards and Technology in its investigation of the World Trade Center disaster.
  
• Glenn is humble, kind and very knowledgeable. His wisdom and interest in finding the truth drives us all.
