First of all, I'd like to thank Doug.....AKA Merlin the Mad.....for
the welcome! I must say, however, I'm kind of disappointed to hear of
the current condition of the group. Perhaps, with the right
motivation, it can become more cohesive and purposeful. I'd like to
see the group grow for various reasons. And I think it can, given the
proper attention!

I am currently the President and a Board Member of HMGS Mid-South. We
have around 300 current members with a wide variety of interests. We
sponsor a major annual convention and our members hold numerous game
days throughout the year at various locations. Now, I have run a 90mm
skirmish game at our annual flagship convention, Nashcon, and received
a great response so I know there is interest out there. We just need
to tap into that interest and use it to help our little group. I
noticed a previous post where a member.....Major B, I think it
was.....proposed a group event. I think a gathering of some type
would be an excellent idea and something to work towards.

But before I try to kick-start some interest in juicing up the group,
I'd like to hear from more of the membership with their opinions,
ideas, suggestions, etc. Maybe folks like the status quo as it
stands. If that's the case then I'll not be one to rock the boat.
But if there's any interest in making the group more active then I'm
on board with any ideas. Let's hear what you guys think!

It isn't "the current condition". The Group has always been this
quiet. If there was more 90mm gaming going on I reckon membership
would increase, and projects, and posts.

If you whip up interest, point everyone this way, and "purpose" will
follow. I'd enjoy seeing more activity....
