Chris,

I just took note that you haven't been using your 90s, and it made me
think of the lack of new figures being introduced to the market. It
is quite sad, even the older figures are becoming scarce. Try finding
Schleich Arabians at a reasonable price. I'm happy to be sitting on
[literally] hundreds and hundreds of figures, but it is depressing to
think that a day may come that I won't be able to field a new company
of soldiers.

That being said, I continue to feel fortunate that I jumped into this
scale instead of 54mm. While the pickings are waaaay too many, so is
the price. This scale broke me for a while; I don't even want to
imagine what that smaller scale would've/could've done. Thankfully
its my only vice.

I don't know what the future of 90mm is. But it doesn't look
encouraging lately, figure-release-wise, does it?...

Merlin,

Just did a quick count (and by that I mean the tally sheet and NOT a
hand count) and I'm looking at 1038 figures. They do take up a lot of
room since most are based and on display. Luckily I have the room for
four display cases, but not all the figures; some of the less used
ones are in a storage closet. I will admit that the den looks great,
but it helps that the hallway is guarded by two suits of armor (each
made of cheap tin but stand at seven feet so they LOOK impressive). I
left out the Papo musketeers since those are not based yet, and don't
fit in with the medievals.

Over a thousand!!!??? You are MAD sir. I cannot even visualize how
that would look all out and arrayed into two armies facing each other.
You'd need an entire back yard....

Gentlemen,

I am still out here...

I have not posted in quite a while. I have had very little
opportunity for gaming, though I hope to change that over the
holidays. I still owe the group some pictures of my archer's pavise.
I was never able to find an easily way to add a Fleur-de-lis.

Over the past year I have added only a handful of figures. I picked
up two each of the red schliech axe thrower and battle axe figure. I
also picked up my first BBI figures two each of the mounted french
knight and mounted french 100yr war knight. I need to figure out what
to use for a horse. Any suggestions?

Mounted, yet not mounted? Strange.

The only figure I have added this last year is the Zahor fantasy
knight; to be the leader of our Muslim/Turcoman "horde". Oh, and that
second mounted crusader knight that I articulated c. half a year back;
in anticipation of another battle with Ricky. But my son went "on
crusade" (LDS mission, Brazil) before we got in another game (I tried,
but he couldn't pull himself away from WoW, bleh); so it could very
well be another two years (if at all) before I get in another game. I
don't have any other gamers of this cool stuff around me....

What kind of horse are you looking to find? Just something to put the
mounted knight w/lance upon?

over a week now....

Yes, I am looking for a couple of appropriate horses for the two BBI
knights that are sold sans horse. I have one extra horse, a lion
mounted archer's mount, that was sent in error with an earlier
purchase. But the figure does not fit.
