Take Our Time by Shakka

This song has such a nice groove to it--it's a chill vibe while also having a solid infectious rhythm to it. I think it could fit into our repertoire as one of those songs that's not a ballad and not super high energy but just somewhere in the middle. Shakka's music tends to lend itself to acapella so I don't think it would be hard to arrange, it's a little bit repetitive but we can definitely play with elements of the songs, like the echoes that happen throughout.

People are familiar with the song, mostly the kind of people who listen to acapella on the reg have heard it at one point or another. But even for those who haven't, I really feel like it's a groove that anyone can get behind (if we do it right). I think it's a good song for the beginning of a set, cause it would get some heads nodding before our big crowd-pleaser songs.

Pitchslapped won ICCA Nationals in 2014 and this song opened their set. I really like the way they did and it could be cool to kinda build upon that concept. Check that shit out.
