There are four weeks left to submit work for Quarter 3 and the grades posted to the Internet now include all major work due by the end of the quarter except for the Quarterly Cumulative Test (March 6). Do not panic because the grade is low, but do put together a plan to reach your grade goal in the time remaining:
A 89.45 - 100
B 74.45 - 89.44
C 49.45 - 74.44
D completed contract work or 'C' work after quarter ended
F 0 - 49.44 along with decision not to complete contract or 'C' work
Here is a rundown of items that could have a major impact on the grade:
Assignments (21% of quarterly grade-- 5.25% each-- take your time and follow guidelines for original and corrections)
Q3 Postcard (past due): very difficult text based read and connect activity
Q3 Article Pair: fairly easy read and respond activity
Q3 Reaction (due 3/2): straightforward watch and respond activity
Q3 Recital (due ASAP): learn the lines challenge along with easy exploration activity
Tests & Quizzes (21% of quarterly grade-- make up if missed/ retake for up to 60%)
DV Quotes Test (5.25%)
Quarterly Cumulative Test (5.25%)
Chapter Quizzes 8 - 11 (2.8% each)
Daily Work (21% of quarterly grade-- about 2% each)
* = excused
0 = turn it in for points/ see me for needed information
Assessments (21% of quarterly grade-- make up if missed)
The lowest assessment will be dropped at the end of the quarter.
Learn & Teach (11% of quarterly grade-- must complete Q1 & Q2 responses to submit a project)
Projects are due by February 26th-- no late work (unless an extension was provided before the due date)
