Dear Mr.Swag

My friends and i were supposed to go to a night club but heres the problem, the time they were gonna go, it was past my curfew which is 8:30 pm plus they were also gonna stay out untill about 10:15 pm, i wanna go but its past my curfew and i dont wanna sneak out of my house just to go to a club. I dont want to make my friends think im a loser but I also dont want to scare my parents, what should i do?

Dear Frustrated,

Make up an excuse. Tell your friends that guests are coming over or there's a family gathering. This way, your friends won't think your loser and you wouldn't be out after your curfew. Another choice would be to tell your friends to go to the club before your curfew, again making up an excuse. For example, tell them to go at 6:00pm instead on 8:30pm because at 8:30 your grandparents are coming over, or something like that. Hope this helped.

Signed,
Mr. Swag

Don't sneak out. Iv'e been in your position before. If you sneak out, your parents will find out eventually and won't let you go anywhere at any time. Lying just causes trouble. Just nicely ask them if you could go out with your friends at this time just this once.

Dear Frustrated,

I think you should tell your parents and make a deal with them. You should ask them about letting you go to the club and come home later around 10. You can make a deal by saying that you won't get drunk or you won't do anything stupid. Maybe you can tell them that you will do chores or something. Or you can convince them to give you a later curfew because your a teenager and everyone has a later one. If your parents don't let you go at all, tell your friends that you have to stay home, maybe to babysit your sibling of you have family members coming over. They'll understand and won't think your a loser.

Signed,
Mr.Swag

Dear Frustrated,

Don't go past your curfew, you may think it will make you look cool, but really, your only risking yourself. You'll just end up getting in trouble, scaring your parents and loosing their trust for you. You nor they will be happy, don't worry if your friends will look down on you. Just know that you are doing the right thing.

Sincerely,
Mr. Swag

Dear Frustrated

Do the right thing and don't stay past your curfew. Tell your friends that you can't go to the night club because it will be past your curfew. If they think your a loser then just make new friends because their not your friend if they think your a loser.

Signed Mr. Swag
