Dear Mr. Swag,

Ever since I came to Edenwood Middle School I'm having a hard time. Schooling goes to a whole new level when you come to middle school. You have to be good at sports, academics and drama. The problem is I don't excel at any of these. I'm getting below average marks, I'm terrible at drawing, very nonathletic and I don't even want to talk about drama. I'm considered "The Zero" at school. To make problems worse my first report card came out with terrible results. Now I'm grounded at home as well,  my parents treat me more strictly comparing to my other siblings. And I've got very limited hours on the computer and television (the only thing i find leisure in). Please advice me with something good.

Signed,
Mr Grounded

Dear Mr Grounded

If you struggling in school I suggest you go get some extra help from teachers or maybe tuition. With your parents, try and talk to them tell them that your not used to school here and your still struggling, they'll probably understand and help you out and tell them not to be too harsh on you. At school, try to talk to people and make new friends. You'll fit in and might bump up your grades. You could always get help from your friends and that'll help your grades situation. In the beginning it is really hard but then after time you'll get used to it and hopefully get good grades.

Dear Mr. Grounded

Not everyone is good at everything, especially when it comes to school. you are not alone though, I know many people myself who are in the same situation as you! What I think you should do is, keep trying! You know what they say, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again!" At Edenwood Middle School there is a program called COY (Counting On You) that is there for students who need extra help with math. You should start off from there by signing up for the program, it will really help you. If you find studies a real issue, get together with a friend and study, not only will you have a study buddy, but you will also have fun! Find a subject you enjoy and want to do good in, and work on that. You should slowly work on a subject at a time to improve your learning skills. But just to let you know, you don't have to excel, participation is also very important. Take part in out of school clubs, whether it be an academic learning club or a sports club/team. Just know that, you have to keep trying and soon you'll be getting the marks you want!

Mr.Swag
