Tell us the name of the book you think you'll be reading and if you have a good idea for one, suggest a title or two that you would recommend to your classmates.

While I have not yet read this book, the review in the NY Times was excellent and I am betting many would enjoy Lois Lowry's new book, "Son". Here is a link to the book review. HAPPY READING!

I plan on finishing a book that I started a while ago (I only read about 50 or 40 pages) it's called : "Another Day in the Frontal Lobe" it's about the life of a female neurosurgeon. I've got about 210 pages to go.

*IN ADDITION! I will also read through a collection of art and literature (mostly poems) found in Kurt Cobain's journals. Don't judge a book by its cover, Kurt Cobain is an artist, he's very observant, considerate, and he thinks retrospectively. This will be roughly 300 pages of reading.

I will be reading Artemis Fowl:The Last Guardian and the Hobbit.
I recommend the Artemis Fowl series in general, it is a very good fantasy series, with characters that are surprisingly down-to-earth.

Over the break I read The Elegance of The Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbary. Which was good but kind of intense. I also read Howl's Moving Castle, by Diana Wynne Jones, which is a much easier read and a lot of fun. I highly recomend them both.
Also - sorry I didn't post sooner I had no idea the books I planned to read, I just started whatever came to hand.

Lucy - did you know there is a movie made of The Elegance of the Hedgehog?  I read it in French and the movie is in French but with subtitles.  It's pretty good - you should see if you can rent it.

Loved "The Hobbit".  I used to believe there really were hobbits.  Well I wanted to believe there were because I was so enthralled with the story!
