[7venth Son - A Band's Blog] Recording, Part II - The Itch

We got together last night to get those scratch drum tracks and hopefully the bass recorded. Everything was basically ready to go thanks to the work we did on Monday.
Surprisingly, it only took a couple of runs to get a very nice scratch drum track from Danny and what is most likely a final track from me on bass on our first tune. There's definitely enough to work with there. Things went so fast that we actually got Stu's keys done, all bazillion tracks of subtle and not so subtle stereo pads, leads, and accents. I expected that to be a couple weeks of work, but then again, I keep forgetting that everyone in this band is a pro.
Plans are for Kenny to do guitars tonight and Jeff to do vocals on Sunday if things go smooth. From there, we pack up everything and go to Danny's to get his actual drum performance from his house, where the acoustics are very conducive to drum recording.
Hopefully we'll have a song ready for download in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned.
