Assuming by now that all of you have received the setup files I had shared earlier. Following are the steps to setup compiler and debugger for MS MPI with Visual Studio

1.      Install Visual Studio 2010
2.      Install Visual Studio 2010 service pack
3.      Install “MS-MPI v7” (msmpisdk.msi or MSMpiSetup.exe)
4.      Install “Debugger for MS-MPI Applications with HPC Pack 2012 R2” (mpiDebugger\msmpidbg.msi)
5.      Read how to compile and run a simple MS-MPI program at http://blogs.technet.com/b/windowshpc/archive/2015/02/02/how-to-compile-and-run-a-simple-ms-mpi-program.aspx. “MPIHelloWorld.cpp” is attached for convenience.
6.      For setting up debugger, see video “mpiclusterdebugger_2MB_ch9.wmv” or http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/DanielMoth/VS2010-MPI-Cluster-Debugger-launch-integration/, or refer link http://www.danielmoth.com/Blog/MPI-Cluster-Debugger-Launch-Integration-In-VS2010.aspx (you can go directly to heading “STEPS TO F5")

We can discuss the problems you are facing in the above steps in next class.

Also, please share link to our Google group, i.e., https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/7it6237bioinformatics2015 to those who have not subscribed to the group yet and also to the students of the old batch.

Regards,

Akshay
