Thank you for tenacity, good humor and interest in membership 7 Hills Racing. We have received and approved your application. Now 114 members strong, hailing from Northern Kentucky, Loveland, Cincinnati, Middletown, Milford, Mason, Boise, Kalispell, Los Angeles and beyond, we raced regionally, nationally and internationally in more than 225 race events in the 2011-2012 season. These races included classic road racing (group racing, individual and team time trials), as well as endurance events like Calvin’s Challenge, RAIN, and European endurance classic races, triathlons, duathlons, mountain bike events, and the fall adventure of cyclocross. Most importantly, we have been very successful in the pursuit of our mission, and nearly everyone on our team has made it to the starting line in the past five years. We gained respect in the racing community by placing numerous team members on race podiums around the region, were a competitive force in team efforts and charity challenges, and made a difference by hosting events, providing volunteer muscle, and supporting charities throughout the year.

We are in our tenth season of operation (ending 8/31/2015). Your $20 membership fee goes to the hard costs of keeping our consistently growing team operating. We are happy to share the details of the operating budget with you upon request.

The benefits for this year’s membership are consistent with Season 7. We offer extensive benefits compared with any amateur racing team in the area, and respect the amount you are able to participate in the racing scene, with a minimum of contributions and requirements during your racing season(s). For direct benefits, we offer: Free admission to race in all team-sponsored events (currently 4 days of racing for 2012-13, a value of approx. $180), 3 “choice” race admissions paid (up to $100 aggregate), discount on accessories at Smitty’s Cycle Shop – and at our LBS sponsor, Oakley Cycles – plus, low-cost team kits (Verge manufacturer at 40% discount), race fees discounts (up to 10 races and $100), identity gear, training program, social events, massages, deals on GU, and Rudy Project sunglasses, bike frames, Blackburn accessories, Giro helmets, and more -- the opportunity for everyone on the team to increase their fitness, and the loud supportive presence at races that makes everyone go faster and work harder – priceless! Team members who volunteer a minimum of 30 hours through leadership positions, or at team and charity events for the season can also earn a free jersey or shorts for the following season, and with the participation of Oakley Cycles also qualify for a 20 percent discount on a Serrotta bike frame (certain qualifications/time frames apply).

We believe these benefits, and the atmosphere of the 7HR team, make annual membership a great value.

If you believe in our mission, and enjoy helping our team grow, consider adding a donation to your membership support when you renew next year, or volunteering to lead a race event or team training activities. Team donations have not only helped our organization to grow, but helped support the Epilepsy Society, JDRF, the American Diabetes Association, the MS Society, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Lionhearts and Cincinnati Cyclocross Inc. Youth Cycling Programs, the Davis Phinney Foundation, and the UC Gardner Center/Donald Krumme Fund for Parkinson’s Research and Wellness. We have also distributed more than 100 rear "blinky" bike lights to local riders in urban neighborhoods, and provided bike safety education to more than 20 groups since 2008. In 2011-12 we co-sponsored the Spring Valley road race in partnership with Big Dave Sports, presented two criterium race events in downtown Milford in partnership with Bishop’s Bicycles, and will partnered with Team Zephyr and Lionhearts youth cycling on the Kingswood CX Regional Championship Weekend. In 2012-13 we'll present CX After Dark, part of the UCI3 weekend in southwest Ohio, and collaborate on the Kings CX Pre-Worlds Race in January of 2013.
